Kallmyren by Liza Marklund the second book in her Stenträsk-trilogy and a stand-alone continuation of Polcirkeln. It focuses on Wiking Stormberg, a police chief whose wife disappeared in a mysterious bog accident in 1990, leaving their baby critically ill. Decades later, his adult son receives a strange letter in his missing mother’s handwriting, forcing Wiking to question whether he’s losing his mind or if someone is threatening the family.
